1966 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT SPORTOP

Here is a unique example of an
early Scout featuring the popular and desirable 'Sportop'
option which includes the 'coupe-like' removable fiberglass
roof panel, upgraded interior appointments, deluxe wheel
covers and whitewall tires. This example includes the
factory-correct 152 cid 'slant-four' cylinder engine mated
to a 3-speed floor-shifted manual transmission, 2-speed
transfer case and factory 4-wheel-drive option. This Scout
came from the estate of long-time International Historian
Fred Crismon of Louisville, Kentucky. This Scout has
undergone a 'cosmetic' restoration including new correct
white paint and champaign vinyl upholstery. As the
drivetrain has been essentially un-touched, except for some
cosmetic detailing, this vehicle runs and drives as one
would expect from a 44-year-old vintage sport-utility
vehicle. This is the perfect addition to one's vintage IH
