Here's a true 'barn-find' working
man's truck that's just been resurrected from long-term
storage. This truck has 73,000 actual miles and is still
powered by it's factory-original 266 cid V8 and 3-speed
column-shifted manual transmission. This truck is perhaps the
most factory-original IH truck we've seen as nearly every
mechanical and electrical component bears a genuine IH logo!
This truck runs and drives very well. The low-riding stance and
car-like ride of this truck with it's front torsion
bar suspension were strong selling features of this light-duty
hauler when it was new. We've added new black wall bias-ply
truck tires, polished the paint, re-upholstered the seat and
carpeted the cab floor--this appears to be the only non-IH
components on this truck--everything else on this truck is as it
came from the IH factory and we even found the original
'line-setting' ticket/build sheet still attached to the top of
the driver's side sun visor. The truck has been re-painted once
since new in the original metallic green color. This truck will
make a great 'daily-driver' quality conversation piece for a
true IH truck enthusiast and could easily be made into a true
show-piece with minimal effort and expense.
