Here's a rare, freshly restored
version of one of perhaps the most beautiful light-duty pick-ups
ever produced by International Harvester, the last-year of the D
model. This is the desirable light-duty half-ton, short-wheelbase
D2. This particular truck has been lovingly restored to a level
rarely seen in these unique trucks. Features include the upgraded
Green Diamond 233 flat-head 6-cylinder engine, used primarily in the
heavier-duty Internationals, mated to the correct 3-speed
floor-shifted manual transmission. The high-quality red/black
clearcoat paint highlights excellent body fit and finish and is
accented by the meticulously varnished oak bedwood and new wide
whitewall tires. During restoration, the frame and all chassis
components were stripped and powder-coated gloss black, the engine
was professionally rebuilt, new wiring was installed, and the
interior was completely re-upholstered. A few, subtle, unique
